It is vicious rumor that I came to this world by way of an alien spacecraft via Roswell, New Mexico in the 1960s. In point of fact, I am the oldest son of proud parents native to our great state for almost five generations. I was born and raised in fine Texas fashion, involved in all manner of sport and Texas tradition throughout my younger years, and culminating in my leaving home for study at Texas A&M University at the tender age of seventeen years. Some of my most wonderful memories are of Aggieland and Kyle field, and I bleed maroon to this very day.
Pursuing my continued interest in medicine from an early age, I was accepted to study medicine at The University of North Texas Health Sciences Center at Fort Worth following completion of my college degree, and it was during those formative years that I came to fall in love with the DFW metroplex.
Following medical school, I stayed on in Fort Worth and completed my post-graduate internship. From there, I moved on to fabulous Mount Clemens, Michigan in pursuit of residency training. During my years in Michigan, I came to love that state almost as much as my own (I still visit when I can, especially to see the fall leaves change). Four years later, board certified in Family Practice, I returned home to the metroplex and began practice with a Dallas-based group of doctors. During this time, I attended Southern Methodist University and attained my Masters in Business Administration degree.
With my shiny new MBA in hand, I decided to let my entrepreneurial passions run free and open a primary medical practice to call my own. After much debate on where exactly to settle down, I decided on the wonderful Dallas suburb of Coppell. Located just ten minutes’ drive north of the bustling DFW Airport, Coppell provided the proximity for pilots and airline professionals that I wanted, combined with a wonderful lifestyle in which to settle down personally.

I am now in my thirteenth year as a family practice physician, and continue to practice with the simple philosophy that patients should be treated in the manner that we health care professionals and our families should expect to be treated. Patients simply shouldn’t have to wait days (or weeks) to see their doctor, or worse yet relegated to a nurse practitioner or P.A. for their care. I wouldn’t accept that for any of my family members, nor for any of my staff.
MedComm Neighborhood Medical Care is a wonderful place to practice medicine. I have seen it grow from that first ever patient to now number in the thousands, treating everything from sore throats to broken bones, minor office surgeries, and even minor emergencies. We keep X-ray on site rather than shipping patients out to have films taken of potential broken bones, all for the convenience of those that come to us for help. Today, our Coppell practice treats young and old, our many teenagers, stay-at-home moms, busy professionals, and all manner of pilots, air traffic controllers, and other aviation professionals.
We think of your family as our family, and do our best to treat you accordingly. Every day, we have new patients come to our office for the first time. And I never tire of hearing how pleasant they find our surroundings and staff, and how we are able to help to make their illness or injury better. Like our very first marketing logo said so many years ago, we are still “Here to Help.”
