FAA Pilot and Air Traffic Controller Physicals
The DFW metroplex has a large and varied flying community, encompassing a diversity of
professionals ranging from commuting business executives to flight attendants, and from
Federal Air Marshals to pilots-in-command.  An entire industry of private and professional
aircraft companies, as well as commercial airlines exist only because of these highly trained
professionals.  The special concerns of the aerospace industry has even given rise to an
area of specialized medicine, dedicated to keeping these professionals healthy and able to
carry out their duties in a safe and capable manner.

Dr. Blair has long maintained a keen interest in the specialized field of aerospace medicine,
and in maintaining the health of the men and women who make it possible.  He is certified by
the FAA as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) as well as a certified Air Traffic
Controller (ATC) examiner.  Dr. Blair has been published in the nationally recognized
Federal
Air Surgeon’s Medical Bulletin
, and routinely undergoes continuing education to stay on the
cutting edge of aerospace medicine.

Our medical office offers all levels of flight physicals for pilots, including FAA Classes I, II, and
III.  Dr. Blair works closely with the FAA to keep our pilots flying, and to help them work
through any medical issues that may arise which might affect their ability to perform up to FAA
standards.

Since Dr. Blair is also a board certified family practice physician, pilots that see him for all of
their medical care needs also play an active role in choosing (and avoiding) medications and
procedures that could interfere with their flying abilities.  Together, the goal is safe flying and
minimizing down time.

From Student Pilot to advanced aviator, fixed wing to rotary wing, even new hire to biannual
renewal, Dr. Blair will work with you to keep you safely at the controls.
“For once having tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth
with your eyes turned skyward. For there you have been, and
there you will always long to return.”
