The 2006 Season was a Blast!
Well, another season for The Tuesday Night Baseball Club is now under our belt. Many laughs. Many good times. I'm so grateful to the young men and women who were able to spend some time watching the Rangers with us, and who allowed us to learn a little bit more about them. It is my hope that you can help us in our drive to prepare for our next year, even more successful than this one!
About The Tuesday Night Baseball Club
I have a goal in life to leave this world better than I found it. The Tuesday Night Baseball Club is one way that I hope to accomplish that goal.
“Help a Kid Out” is the motto for our 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Tuesday Night Baseball Club gives kids who don’t have moms or dads the chance to go out and see the Texas Rangers play baseball.
The Tuesday Night Baseball Club got started a number of years ago when I was looking for a meaningful charity that would provide more of a direct benefit to the community than many of the national organizations have available.
And who better to help out than kids? We all feel an obligation to give to charity, but there are so many wonderful organizations. There are many respectable charity and national organizations sworn to battle everything from breast cancer to drunk driving, and they could all use your financial contributions to carry out their wonderful work. The mission of our charity is simply to bring a dose of fun and happiness to a group of kids who could use a little more of it.
It only takes a little imagination to think about how unfortunate it is that there are children right here in the DFW metroplex who might never get a chance to go to a professional baseball game during their formative years. They miss the chance to shout at the players, scream as a long ball sails over the fence, and watch the scoreboard light up when the Rangers big bats hit another homer! Kids waiting to become part of a family deserve those great memories too, and we want to make sure they get them.
The ball park name might change, but we’re still the same. Simply put, the dollars donated to The Tuesday Night Baseball Club go to pay for the cost of admissions, the hot dogs and cokes, maybe even a glove or cap for these wonderful boys and girls. The little guys typically range in age from 10 to 17 years old, and include boys and girls. Black or white, Hispanic or Native American, we take all comers. Putting a smile on the face of a young person is one of the special treats that all too few of us take the time to participate in. The Tuesday Night Baseball Club was created just to do that, and we absolutely love it!
I urge you to consider giving directly to our community by donating to The Tuesday Night Baseball Club, and to smile broadly about the good you’re doing. Somewhere very near, there is a young boy or girl whose life you can make a difference in. And from him or her (and from me) thanks a million.
